Mayfield at West Edmonton Hotel News

We're proud to present our $2.5 million dollar Mayfield Dinner Theatre renovations Completed in August of 2011.

This full scale renovation included acoustic and lighting improvements, updated backstage areas as well as an expanded culinary program. The rest of the renovation includes:

• New carpeting, lighting and welcoming decor in the lobby and theatre
• New coat check
• New seating in the theatre
• Granite countertops and modern decor in the washrooms
• New heating and cooling systems
• New system in place for the hearing impaired
• Expanded buffet area complete with Chef attended action stations, salad and seafood bar, chocolate fountain and an array of other hot entrees and desserts

Mayfield Dinner Theatre Associate Honoured with You're Welcome Edmonton's Outstanding Host Services Award!

The Mayfield Dinner Theatre is proud to announce that Midge Hill has won the Outstanding Host Services Award from You're Welcome Edmonton. She was chosen based on her exemplary service, warm hospitality and commitment to excellence.

Midge has been a Mayfield Dinner Theatre loyal associate at the Mayfield Inn & Suites for over 12 years and was also named as the hotel's Associate of the Year in 2007. She has an amazing attitude and is described as an outstanding person who goes above and beyond to ensure an excellent experience for all guests.

Mayfield Inn & Suites' Friends In Need program contributes over $7,000 to GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation

The Mayfield Inn & Suites' 11th annual Friends in Need holiday promotion has raised more than $7000.00 for GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation.

Running during the December holiday period, the annual Friends In Need promotion offered travellers discounted room rates at the Mayfield, as well at more than 20 other SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts across Canada, with $10 from each night's stay going to local charities. This year, SilverBirch Hotels have surpassed their program goal of raising $1,000,000 in total donations. To ensure the goal was met, each hotel did additional fundraising activities such as jeans day, 50/50, BBQs, bottle drives, restaurant specials and much more.

We've rolled out the red carpet ... literally!

It began with the demolition of the longstanding fountain in the centre of the Mayfield Inn & Suites lobby. And now, The Mayfield is ready to unveil our newly renovated lobby. The lobby has been updated with bold new red carpeting, stylish furniture and light fixtures. Our new carpeting extends into the Garden Courtyard as well as through the corridors leading to the hotel's Grand ballroom.
